A place where God's Word is used to help us
grow into the people that God
intends us to be.
Be strong and don't be afraid! "
Isaiah 35:3-4
"My home is in Heaven. I'm just traveling through this world"
Billy Graham
In Isaiah 35 we find God sharing with Isaiah about the future, a future filled with joy and gladness.
"The desert and the dry land will be glad, and the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like a lily the land will blossom. It will rejoice and sing with joy. It will have the glory of Lebanon, the majesty of Carmel and Sharon. Everyone will see the glory of the Lord, the majesty of our God."
Isaiah 35:1-2 (GW)
Today's text reminds us, as children of God, that we can have a confident hope in knowing that we WILL spend eternity with God.
"So, with confidence and hope in this message, strengthen those with feeble hands, shore up the weak-kneed and weary.
Tell those who worry, the anxious and fearful, "Take strength; have courage!
There's nothing to fear.
Look, here - your God!
Right here is your God!
The balance is shifting; God will right all wrongs. None other than God will give you success. He is coming to make you safe."

God's Message to the people, through Isaiah, is one of encouragement, hope and a strong confidence.
A day is coming when God will make all things right.
He will judge the wicked and they will receive their punishment.
Adonai-Tzva'ot, God Almighty, will come and save His people.
Meanwhile, those who are followers of Adonai are encouraged to:
"Strengthen your drooping arms, and steady your tottering knees. Say to the fainthearted, "Be strong and unafraid!"

"Hope is never ill when faith is well."
~John Bunyan
Jesus, speaking to Nicodemus, told him that because God loved everyone in the world, He wanted to make a way for each person to spend eternity with Him.
Jesus told Nicodemus, that those who believed and trusted in Him would have everlasting life. This is His promise:
"For God expressed His love for the world in this way:
He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not face everlasting destruction, but will have everlasting life."
-John 3:16 (VOICE)
Peter reminds us that we serve an amazing God, who has given us a hope that we can hold on to.
This world is NOT the end!
Yes, we have been given a brand-new life in Christ, and we have a future planned for us in heaven.
Peter writes:
"What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have him, this Father of our Master Jesus! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we've been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven - and the future starts now! God is keeping careful watch over us and the future. The Day is coming when you'll have it all - life healed and whole."
1 Peter 1:3-5 (MSG)
My friend, let us remember to hold on to our hope.
God has a future waiting for us that is beyond our wildest dreams.
We cannot even image how wonderous it will be.
Do not allow the disappointments and trials of this world sway you, causing you to give up on what God has planned for your eternity.
This life is but a vapor compared to what eternity will be.
Hold on to your hope!

Growing with God is a daily devotion written to encourage and inspire others to grow in their faith and trust in God.
Growing can often entail hard work, pain, pruning and a whole lot of tender, loving care.
God is willing to work with us if we will allow Him to work in us.
